Optimised Scheduling connects Time Slot Booking to Resource Planning. As each order is scheduled the system checks it against real fleet availability and pre-allocates it to a vehicle, so capacity stops being an estimate.
01/Why it matters
In a standard set-up you estimate capacity per slot yourself and hope the estimate holds. For big and bulky it rarely does: large areas, low density, oversized items and service times that vary from twenty minutes to half a day. The failure shows up as a call to the customer two days later.
Feasibility is assessed when the slot is booked, not discovered at the optimisation cutoff.
Capacity is configured once in Resource Planning rather than maintained again per slot.
A task whose service time is longer than the slot itself can still be scheduled — a kitchen installation, several rooms of furniture.
Offer slots of varying length and price, short in dense zones and longer in far ones.
02/Features
One daily fleet configuration feeds both planning and what the recipient is offered. No second set-up to keep in step.
When a slot is requested the system assesses feasibility and pre-allocates the task to an available vehicle.
Overlapping time slots draw on the same fleet instead of each holding a fixed reservation that may go unused.
Periodic runs rebuild more efficient routes through the day, which frees capacity rather than just reporting it.
Matching on driver skills, start times, departure and arrival locations and vehicle reloads.
Slot metrics reflect planned capacity, with fill rates tracked per vehicle in Resource Planning.
03/In context
Rolling out to Big & Bulky customers. Moving an existing set-up across is a configuration migration we run with you; tasks already planned are not affected.
We will compare the capacity you advertise with the capacity your fleet has on the day.
